Parking Regulations

 

SAN ANDREAS VEHICLE CODE

2014

 

 


 

 

Parking Enforcement

 

Peace officers in the state of San Andreas, as well as towing staff authorized by the Government of Los Santos, may enforce any section of the parking regulations in the County of Los Santos. Employees of the Government of Los Santos who are directed by a peace officer in the State of San Andreas may enforce the parking regulations and shall be considered while acting under this directive, a peace officer, temporarily.

 

Interfering with Traffic Officers

 

It is unlawful to interfere, obstruct, hinder, delay, fail or refuse to comply with a lawful order or direction given by a traffic officer (person(s) authorized to enforce parking regulations) in any manner and may result in an arrest and charge of;

 

MO007 - Resisting Arrest / Obstruction - Up To 6 - 8 Months (( Hours )) and a Fine of $2,500

 

Resisting, delaying or obstructing a peace officer or emergency services personnel.

 

Allowed Parking - Residential

 

Cars

Inside a residential zone, defined by a street which primarily contains houses, you may park your car or similar vehicle and leave it unattended with two wheels on the sidewalk and two wheels off the sidewalk. You may not park all four wheels on the sidewalk or park in a manner that obstructs the flow of traffic or create a hazard.

 

 

Motorcycles & Bicycles

Inside a residential zone, defined by a street which primarily contains houses, you may park your motorcycle or bicycle on the sidewall or along the curb on the road along as it is parked in a manner that does not obstruct the flow of traffic or create a hazard.

 

 

Allowed Parking - Business/Industrial

 

Cars

Inside a business zone, defined by a street which primarily contains businesses, you may park your car on the street next to the curb or on the sidewalk. If available, use the nearest parking lot.

 

 

Motorcycles & Bicycles

Inside a business zone, defined by a street which primarily contains businesses, you may park your motorcycle or bicycle on the sidewalk or along the curb on the road along as it is parked in a manner that does not obstruct the flow of traffic or create a hazard.

 

 

Parking at Idlewood Gas Station Not Permitted

You may not stop your car or leave it unattended on the premises of Idlewood Gas Station unless refueling your vehicle or purchasing an item in the store. There is a designated parking lot south of Idlewood Gas Station inside the fenced-in parking lot. Stopping your vehicle or leaving your vehicle unattended outside the parking lot on the premises of Idlewood Gas Station without valid reason will result in your vehicle being towed and impounded.

 

 

Parking Prohibitions

 

You are prohibited from parking (meaning leaving your vehicle unattended) or stopping your vehicle while it's attended in any of the following circumstances:

  • Against the flow of traffic.

     

  • Three or more wheels on the road with a four wheeled vehicle.

     

  • Infront of a public or private driveway.

     

  • In an intersection or a crosswalk.

     

  • Within 5 feet of an intersection or a cross-walk.

     

  • In front of any bus stops or in close vicinity blocking access to the bus stop by a bus.

     

  • Within 15 feet of a fire station driveway or fire hydrant.

     

  • In a center median strip.

     

  • Anywhere a No-Parking sign is erected.

     

  • In posted no-stopping zones.

     

  • On private property without the consent of property owners or authorized person(s) acting on behalf of the property owner.

     

  • In designated emergency/fire lanes.

     

  • On bridges, tunnels or causeways/highways.

     

  • On train tracks or within 5 feet of train tracks.

     

  • Infront of City Hall and the Superior Court of San Andreas.

     

 

Parking in a manner that violations the parking prohibitions section will result in your vehicle being towed and impounded with all costs associated being charged to the violator.

 

 

Emergency Exceptions

 

When displaying hazard lighting (four-way flashers) during a declared emergency, you may violate the parking prohibitions but must immediately upon demand from a person authorized to enforce the parking regulation inform said person that you are in a declared emergency and follow all directions given by person(s) authorized to enforce the parking regulations.

 

 

Exemptions

 

The following vehicles owned and/or operated by are exempt from parking regulations in this chapter unless the exemption obstructs the flow of traffic and/or creates a hazard without justification;

 

  • Law Enforcement
  • Emergency Services
  • County of Los Santos
  • Superior Court of San Andreas
