Would this be limited by script or by the state law?

Law.

Script doesn't limit you from buying a car without a license, so it probably won't limit you from buying the motorcycles without license

No- that's not how licensing for motorcycles works in the U.S., there's no limit on the bike you can drive. It's why barely anyone drives those shitty little motor scooters / vespas or whatever here because a motorcycle license applies for any motorcycle. The only 'different' license for them in the states is that when you first get the license you can't drive at certain times (like midnight to 6am or so) and such. There's not licensing system in the states that limits the power of the bike you can drive (same with cars also, the only thing requiring a special license is typically for large oversized vehicles (semi-trucks, ect, with a commercial license).

just like the dmv changes that someone suggested, thats not how it works in the U.S

The second you turn 16, you can go get a 1000cc superbike and drive it street legal, in some stats theres time limitation, like you cant ride past 8pm or earlier than like 6 am. But not here in Florida.

As a matter of fact, you can drive any bike at the age of 6 for tracks and courses.

This isnt Europe, this is America, where people are actually competent enough to handle driving a bike at 16.

Where people are deemed competent enough to. Makes a significant difference. Also way easier to drive on straight roads the width of your mom.

I'm not worried about the specifics of why this isn't in the USA more than how it'd be enforced.

Should each cop carry a pocketbook of what bikes are what cc's or should they google for each bike they pull over?

Either way, way too much for little gain.

It is ridiculously easy to get a motorcycle licence in the states.

Who has ever said that the server should have same Laws as USA ?? yea, majority of it is like usa, but that doesn't mean that server cant have a law like this. we aren't trying to mimmic another state. European and american laws mixed wouldn't be bad, just to bring in more RP. people tend to think that LS is same as LA and that it needs to be a copy of LA, while we still have winter.. this is owlgaming, not American gaming or whatever.

this.. alright.. the CC of the bike is written down on the registration of the bike, cops can easily read it off of that, isnt too hard, is it ? IRL cops wont be using google to find out the CC of the bike, would they ?

It's sort of implied by... y'know using American laws and roleplaying as though we're California that only ever existed under the name of San Andreas. I don't think it's unreasonable for people to expect that we follow US law.

We are actually trying to mimic other states, speaking as one of the architects of the Owl legal system, the three states we majorly mimic are:

  • California
  • Florida
  • Pennsylvania

There's a bit of Texas in there but those are the ones we majorly share with. I'm not saying we ARE one of the states listed above, so no we are -NOT- California, but these are the major inspirations for our legal system. The reasons we mimic U.S law are obvious:

  • The game simply makes more sense when you say its American, the game is modeled after the U.S.
  • Everyone can far more easily relate to it. If we started saying "european law" the arguments quickly going to become which of the 50+ countries in "Europe" would take precedence. I can already see the arguments.
  • The game is more fun this way. One of the major appeals to (particularly european) players is a opportunity to 'live the American dream'

My sarcasm seems to have went right over your head, I'm saying how this would overcomplicate a already complicated vehicle legal system at the expense of everyone and offer no real gain.

Fuck this, it's a 6 month regulation limited to 250cc in America. After the 6 months learning period, people can do fuck all on turbo busas. No this should not be implemented. Just another thing that seems cool to implement, but it's too articulate and doesn't need to be added. It is just limiting what the fuck you can legally do. Why don't we add a rule that no 16 year olds can drive modified GTR's around.
