Dance With The Devil Remix - YoungDup

Recommended Posts

ik it's long as fuck but i tried as hard as i could to have it somewhat resemble Immortal Technique's original version.

*The video is shot in a dimly lit bedroom on a standard laptop webcam. The instrumental begins as the 16 year old black teenager in front of the camera begins playing it out of his iPhone beside the laptop. Only his eyes and upper head are visible because of the light blue bandana that is wrapped around his face. He appears to be shirtless.*

"Y'all should know who this is for. If you don't, try to keep it that way."

0:21-1:22

"I once knew a nigga whose real name was Zay

His primary concern was getting paid

Being the illest hustler that the world ever seen

He used to fuck movie stars and bust gats in his dreams

A corrupted young mind at the age of fifteen

Nigga never had a father and his mom was a fiend

She put the needle down, but for every year she was sober

Zay’s heart simultaneously grew colder

He started coming out, throwing hands for the set

Busting up jaws and splitting heads with no regret

He built a reputation cause he could fight and steal

Got taken in once and chose not to squeal

The niggas he chilled with knew he was real

See, he knew he and everyone was equal

He didn’t project his insecurities on other people

He fiended for props like addicts with pipes and needles

So he felt he had to prove to everyone he was evil

A strong willed young man with infinite potential

The product of a ghetto-bred capitalistic mental

Coincidentally dropped out of school so he could bang

Dancing with the devil, stayed out, with the set he’d hang

But he was sick of just fighting and decided he’d put on for the gang"

1:23-1:45

"Everybody trying to be slick never face the consequences

You probably on did a month for minor offenses

Ask a nigga doing life if he had another chance

But then again there’s always the wicked that knew in advance

Dance forever with the devil on a cold cell block

But that’s what happens when you bang, murder and sell rock

Devils used to be angels that fell from the top

There’s no diversity because we’re burning in the melting pot."

1:46-2:41

"Smooth started robbing niggas, anything he could do

To gain some respect in the eyes of the crew

Starting fights over small shit up on the block

Stepped up to wielding a nine millimeter, a Glock

Putting in work on his own time to put on for the flock

Did what he needed and helped the niggas sell cocaine

Fulfilling the gangster profile he’d made in his brain

Tired of all the block niggas treating him the same

He wanted to be major like the cut-throats and thugs

But when he tried to step to them they showed him no love

They said any motherfucking coward can beat a nigga down

Any boy in the projects can steal a car from downtown

Any loc with blue Jordans can front up like a Crip

Even a newborn child can make a rival’s nose drip

But only a real thug can stab someone until they die

Standing in front of them, staring into their eyes

Smooth realized these men were well-guarded

And they wanted to test him before he was regarded

Suggested smoking a slob to prove he was cold-hearted

So now he had a choice of going back to his life

Or making money with made-men, wielding a knife

His dreams about being a real mobster made him accept

So they got in the car with a chopper, up the road they crept

At the end of the block the shots rang out, thirty rounds and the slobs were swept."

*He'd take a short break.*

3:02-3:24

"Everybody trying to be slick never face the consequences

You probably on did a month for minor offenses

Ask a nigga doing life if he had another chance

But then again there’s always the wicked that knew in advance

Dance forever with the devil on a cold cell block

But that’s what happens when you bang, murder and sell rock

Devils used to be angels that fell from the top

There’s no diversity because we’re burning in the melting pot."

3:25-4:16

"They rode around Sun Street slow while it was raining

Smoking blunts, drinking and joking for entertainment

Until they saw Huey on the street, walking alone

Eleven at night sitting in his car, he’d just gotten home

And so Dee got off his bike and walked up to him

Walking through slob turf the redness swallowed them

Dee asked Huey where he could score some chronic

“I got some right here kid, can you afford hydroponic?”

Dee nodded and flashed a wad of bound bills

Huey applauded and dashed to where he hid pills

Dee struggled but managed to chamber a round

And when Huey came out shots were heard all around

Huey was struck dead on his front steps, neighborhood dead

Blood flowed into the streets, turning the road red

Dee and King went back and proceeded to celebrate

Dee felt sick but kept a face that resembled slate

And King felt great and kept a face that exhibited his hate

A young man who’d turned into a cold blooded killer

A gang war brewed beneath but the neighborhood looked stiller

Dee was now guaranteed a spot in the crew

But he wasn’t sure if that’s what he even wanted to do

But it was too late and he was roped in, he was forever alleged to the blue."

*He takes another short breather.*

4:29-END

"Right before he pulled the trigger and ended his life

Smooth and Dee thought about the cocaine with the platinum and ice

They felt strong standing along with their new brothers

Cocked the gat to their own heads and pulled back the mask covers

But what they saw made them regret and stutter

Cause they were overlooking to results of their own clutter

They looked back at what they’d done and cried because they were forsaken

But their fate was already sealed and their lives were as good as taken

Dee’s whole world stopped, he couldn’t even contemplate

His corruption had successfully changed his fate

And he remembered how his mom used to come home late

Working hard for nothing, cause now what was Dee worth

He turned away from the woman who had once given him birth

And he cried out to the sky for God because he was lonely and scared

But only Satan responded because God wasn’t there

And right then he knew what it was to be empty and cold

And so he continued living with any remnants of a soul

They say death takes you to a better place and I hope so

After Smooth and King got murdered I really just don’t know

And listen cause the story I’m telling is true

Cause I was there when Huey died and I helped Smooth too

And now the Devil follows me wherever I go

In fact, I’m sure he’s standing beside me now while I flow

And he’s with every hoodrat while they try to push snow

He could be standing next to you and you wouldn’t know

The Devil grows inside the hearts of the selfish and wicked

White, brown, yellow and black, color is not restricted

You have a deadly destiny, you best hope you’re convicted

And you’ll be one of God’s children that fell from the top

There's no diversity because we're burning in the melting pot

So when the devil wants to dance with you, you better say never

Because a dance with the devil might last you forever."

*The instrumental would still be playing as he stops rapping.*
