Popular Post Express 486
Guide I will not provide help on how to use the radio, other than what I explain here. Do not ask me for help, you will not get a response. To stream to an IceCast2 server you need to have software such as: SAMBC (Paid) or Mixxx (Free) or use a combination of BUTT and another program (such as Winamp). If you really want to get into more complex setups then try VAC (Paid). Use the command /customradios in-game and it should pop-up a screen just like the below image. If you would like to have an ingame radio you should click the Purchase New Radio button, please note that as of the time of writing this guide the cost of a radio is 695GCs and there is no confirmation prompt to make sure you want to purchase or even telling you the price. After purchasing the radio you should be with a new radio station in the list, next to the radio you will have an Edit button, when you click on it you should get a screen just like the below image. The Stream URL I send you is what you should put in the Radio URL box - what you decide to name your Radio in the Radio Name box is entirely up to you! FAQ How do I get hosting? You write a forum PM to me including the following information: Your Ingame Username, Your Email Address, A password for your stream, SpeedTest result. All of the above information is asked for so I can keep track of who has a radio server hosted by myself, and to ensure you have the necessary resources to stream. It is at my discretion as to whether I am willing to provide you with a radio server, my decision is final and this is not a service provided on behalf of my staff responsibilities at OG, so you cannot appeal this to an Admin. Can I use this radio ingame? Ofcourse! It's the main reason why I host these servers. Enter the stream URL that I PM you back ingame when setting up your radio (in the Station IP box), the Station Name can be whatever you want. Why do you host these? I do it as a courtesy to the community for those less financially fortunate than I am myself. It doesn't cost me anything extra to host them because the server I use has plenty of resources spare. Important information to note. I do not make any promises of an SLA and I never force users to pay money for this hosting, the bitrate is not restricted and all servers have a 50 listener slots limit, I would kindly ask that all streamers do not use a bitrate higher than 320, and a sample rate no higher than 44100. I will host as many servers as I have time to set up, but I make no guarantee for how long the hosting will last, my other servers will take priority, so if I think the radios are becoming too much, they will be cut down at random. Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) E3-1245 v6 @ 3.90Ghz Memory: 32GB DDR4 2400MHz Disk: Samsung Enterprise 480GB SSDs I have a question you haven't answered already. Post it below, DO NOT PM ME, your question may be something that someone else also wanted to ask, so everyone should read the replies (at least the ones I give) before posting their own question. If I ignore your question, it's because (in my opinion) it's already been answered. I reiterate however, I will not provide support on how to connect the radio to as the source and stream to it.
