  1. ((Ok, lets do the math. Your boat IRL has a top speed of 40 mph which is 32 knots. Your boat in game does 182 knots, which is 5.6 times faster than it can go in real life. This boat is similar to having a Cessna 172 which has a RL top speed of 187 mph, reaching a speed of 1047 mph in game. For comparison the Concorde (below) had a top speed of 1350mph In short, your boat is ridiculously fast and needs to be fixed, but I'm sure you already know this because you can do the maths yourself. ))
  2. (( top speed of this boat is 40mph, http://www.usboattest.com/boat-tests/wakeboard-boat/2014/supra/sa350/1015/2014-supra-sa350.html http://jalopnik.com/ten-of-the-fastest-boats-ever-made-1697883988 < this is a list of fastest boats and this is a boat that goes a comparable-ish speed (244mph) boat is unrealistic bro ))

  7. @GentleFart For stepping up and doing the right thing when it mattered, instead of using the UCP as an escape tool from what was a very difficult situation. Good on you, dude.
  8. Nice one dude, I'll be sure to keep dropping by.
  9. Rule Discussion Subject: Auctions & Their usage. I want to...: Discuss Elaboration: Time after time I'm seeing auctions that have been created with "to be determined", "to be announced (TBA), or even "not set yet" in the buyout field... This isn't how auctions work, you don't create a ebay post then add in the buyout at a later date. You either have a buyout price, or you don't. Something that irritates me slightly as it is arguably a form of powergaming. Not sure if this is in the rules, but if it is it's not being followed.
  10. What the ever loving fuck is this about?
  11. 12 hours really isn't a long enough warning period. Especially when it's only through in game alerts.
  12. When is your internet fixed?

A week or more. I've given up on my current ISP and decided to cancel my subscription and sign up with a different one, now I need to wait for the installation and de-installation.

No this is me going to my ISP

  14. So much this. The activity requirements for the bulk of the SD are one hour of patrol a week. There are so many people that put the absolute bare minimum in which leave someone everyone else within the faction to deal with the bitching about low activity, etc. And for some odd reason no one ever pulls these people up if they're doing their one hour a week... Toward the end of my run in SD I became one of the people that would do the bare minimum because not only did I no longer feel as though helping the faction was worth my time, due to how I perceived I'd been treated in times I could have u
  15. How is the Sheriff's Department being punished by people committing crime regardless of whether or not they can respond?
  16. Scroll reload is OP. +1 for duty mags.
  17. You've not responded to many of the valid points I've made. You're certainly rolling hard on those logical fallacies as a means of defending your idea, though. I think you're mistaken in the reason why RS Haul is there. It's a scripted job designed to kill boredom whilst also giving new characters a chance to make money as they find their feet within the city. It's not there to promote and encourage delivery driver roleplay.
  18. 1. Slippery slope logical fallacy, my man. 2. What about frequency and reliability? 3. We get given $35,000 to purchase a vehicle when we create new characters. What you're describing sounds like an increased need for taxis that can be relied upon to be active. 4. The bus driver job doesn't promote any social interaction either, you'd be following a predetermined route. Sometimes people will get on, sometimes they won't. Hop IG and take the bus driver job up. See what it's all about. Fifteen minutes at IGS myself, no people to ride the bus, and even then, I don't hav
  19. Buses are more capable of serious damage to the city and it's occupants when driven by new players, or players that aren't too worried about crashing. What makes you think that an RS Hauler doing the bus driver job will be any safer? The city isn't big enough to support large numbers of bus routes. Arguably the city streets can barely contain the size of the buses as they are. There's no plausible way to ensure that a bus route is routine enough that forgoing transportation by car in the hopes of catching a bus is a legitimate choice for commuters. The city
  20. This this and this. So fucking much of this. This is becoming absurd, on one hand we're getting told that admins are being more lenient in terms of allowing players to do things that don't effect other players. I believe it was some form of the Libertarian Non-Aggression Principle. Yet here we are, we have two suggestion threads that are rapidly gaining traction within the community, suggestions that only serve to make the server more authoritarian in nature. There are several vocal community members that clearly view the role of administrators similar to of
