  4. pretty sure mta aint gonna work with wine, can't remember if I tried on a hackintosh or linux, eitherway didn't want to cooperate. I could play singleplayer but it was glitchy and well, mta expects a windows version of gtasa so pretty sure it won't cooperate and will complain about gtasa not being there or something if you do install the osx/macos version so yeah, bootcamping windows is ur best option.

  7. Dealership Rules Update; March 1st, 2019 Banned https://usclassifieds4all.com/ due to multiple fake listings found on the site + no requirements to post a listing.
  8. LS Occasions removed. San Andreas Powersports added as a new specialty dealer (whoops, forgot last month) added/removed leaders of a couple dealers.
  9. what about handbraking mid-air and shutting the engine
  10. Dealership Rules Update; January 20th, 2019 Adjusted specialty dealer rules, added specifying rules to the new dealer type. Amended on January 21st, 2019 Added a rule that was quite plain and simple previously. * Only Import type dealerships may obtain vehicles outside of the USA.
  11. Razer got shit software afaik, Steelseries got a bad build quality (rubber grips either wear out or just fall off, buttons stop working properly or get stuck; that's from personal experience and I do clean my peripherals, it's not like I got junk under the buttons or anything) but claim the best sensors?, heard tons of good stuff about Logitech's mice, as well about Zowies when it comes to FPS games however a friend of mine has had like 2-3 different Zowies and he's had issues with the mouse randomly spinning out (now that i think of it it could be his mousemat lmao) With MMOs I think it's more of a preference thing whether you prefer all the binds on the mouse or prefer using keyboard for that. There are some mice designed towards MMO, you can usually tell by the absurd amount of buttons on them. With mechanical keyboards, if you're going mechanical, I suggest you try out different switches; On corsair's site they listed browns, blues, reds and "silents". I haven't used the silents, browns feel nice and clicky enough, blues from what I've experienced and heard are basically noisy browns and reds are simply smooth and require light presses. From a quick googling, the silent ones are also reds, no clue what's the difference, didn't bother to look them up too much.
  12. think it was locked due to how it's scripted, but yeah, it could be abused as explained previously, as it caches in a player's game so it could cache different image for different players when manipulated
  13. Dealership Rules Update; January 1st, 2019 unbanned Charger & Challenger Hellcats. Adjusted years within the rules to be correct. Added: Majority of vehicles you request must be with the intention of selling on your lot. You may still take orders, however now in smaller amounts. Adjusted specialty dealership rules. Amended on January 13th. Majority of vehicles you request must be with the intention of selling on your lot. You may still take orders, however now in smaller amounts. Exceptions can be made (e.g. your lot is full).
  14. VT Update - January, 2019 Hello guys, hope you all had a fun and safe New Year's Eve! After discussing within the team, we've decided to open applications for a specialty type dealership, more specifically one that deals bikes and off-road vehicles. Applications will stay open for a month or two, depending on the amount of incoming applications and the removal of the snow script.(That is to discourage people getting superbikes during winter, for example.) Please acquaint yourself with the dealership rules prior to applying to avoid having your application instantly archived. Dealership application form: https://forums.owlgaming.net/forms/42-vehicle-team-dealer-application-form-ooc/ Dealership rules have once yet been updated. Mainly in terms of updating year-based rules to match 2019, however a new rule has been added also. Namely, dealerships' requisition now must have majority of the vehicles with intention to sell on the lot, rather than filling requisitions solely with player requests. This was implemented due to seeing dealerships sit empty unless it's spawn dates, which isn't very realistic and also defeats the meaning of a dealership. This in turn brings more responsibility to the dealership i.e. dealerships must pick vehicles that are currently desirable, etc. which also in a way brings more roleplay to the dealership scene. Also both the Charger and Challenger Hellcat models have been removed from the banned vehicles list, after counting those in the server. Of course, member applications have and will stay open and we encourage everyone interested to apply! It's been also said that we pick members based on who they are rather than on their skillset and knowledge and that is also partially true. If you've for example stood out with your maturity not being up to expectations (and hence perhaps been caught with certain actions which you haven't directly been punished for or have been warned for) or simply have got recent punishments, we surely are less interested in your application. Yes, you may have the knowledge, but in the end of the day, it's a team, and it's difficult to cooperate and do teamwork with someone who you must keep an eye out for at every moment, hoping they don't either damage the VT reputation or overall are untrustworthy with the abilities being a staff member gives. Long story short, in addition to knowledge, we also take in consideration the way a person displays themselves and their characteristics in general, as much as we're aware of them based on the application and previous encounters. Another failing point on applications is the fact that people that we've never interacted with before have presented logs of something such as painting a vehicle whilst the logs themselves are borderline acceptable. That also makes it difficult if not impossible to tell whether the person is actually capable of reviewing logs for bigger modifications or such. People have also said how they dislike not receiving feedback on the denied applications, and I'll be frank here; I'm purely acting off experience. I've been playing Owlgaming since 2014 and have applied for admin team previously and also the vehicle team once before I actually got in, I might've even applied for the supporter team when it still was a thing. With any of the team's applications, I didn't receive a notice that I've been denied, unless I had asked myself or had not seen my name in the update post and made the conclusion myself. That being said, from now on I'll start notifying people either via discord or forum PMs about their applications. Sorry! Membership application form: https://forums.owlgaming.net/forms/22-vehicle-team-member-application-ooc/ During December, we've accepted one new member and promoted Foester to full member status after he'd proven to know his way around. Arrivals: Pardal Promotions: Foester (Trial > Member) The current roster is following: Leadership: Disappoint Supervisors: - Members: SkiZion Cryotich Foester Trial Members: Pardal A member of ours has also announced changes being planned for the current inertia system, which I'd say was taken quite positively. We're still working on testing various differences to create a fair system but obviously with all the holidays in the past month, it's been held up a bit. The Vehicle Team is also currently hosting the auction announced in November for a 1963 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Roadster, check it out and bid for a chance to own a somewhat rare classic! Late Merry Christmas and happy new year! - The Vehicle Team
  15. Los Santos Auction House - Car Vehicle year: 1963 Vehicle brand: Mercedes-Benz Vehicle make: 300 SL Roadster VIN: Inquire Mileage: 37314 (original!) Description: At the 1957 Geneva Motor Show, Mercedes-Benz introduced a convertible version of the celebrated 300 SL coupe “Gullwing,” the 300 SL roadster. In an early suggestion of the increasing focus the manufacturer would place on luxury cars over the ensuing decades, the new roadster was above all a more refined car than its winged predecessor. There was no denying the 300 SL’s mechanical performance, which had decidedly improved in the roadster, with the updated six-cylinder engine receiving the competition camshaft used in the NSL racing coupes, good for a boost of 20 hp. Handling also benefited from a revised rear suspension with a lower axle pivot-point, minimizing the tendency for oversteer. Despite the added weight of chassis reinforcement required by an open model, the roadster was every bit the performance car that the Gullwing had proven itself to be. The roadster’s overwhelmingly luxurious character, however, generally obscured its performance capabilities. With a convertible top, the model was never subject to the uncomfortably hot cabin that beguiled the coupe, and the roadster’s redesigned tube frame afforded lower door sills, facilitating far easier access than the Gullwing’s challenging ingress and egress. The new 300 SL was an improvement on the Gullwing in nearly every capacity, at least from a road-going perspective, and it has since evolved into one of Stuttgart’s most collectible models, a darling of both concours fields and vintage rallies. One of the very desirable late-production 300 SL roadsters equipped with both disc brakes and an alloy engine block, only 210 of which were built, the example offered here was originally delivered in what must surely be the most desirable color combination, Black (DB 040) with a Black leather (953) interior. Images Starting bid: $1,350,000 Minimum increase: $15,000 Buyout: $2,100,000 Auction end date: 10th of January, 2019 Contact details: Inquire ((Current auction is held by the Vehicle Team as announced in the November update.))

  17. Considering we're mainly roleplaying in a city and the country roads, by visual inspection and hence assuming the initial intention of Rockstar Games, I honestly think that 75% of real life top speed is more than enough and honestly, if we're here roleplaying, you should get near your vehicle's top speed 99% less times than anyone does currently.
  18. That is exactly why there isn't only 1 member voting on the requests. We're all human, we make mistakes. we also have different areas and levels of knowledge. That was not the final verdict on said request. You're a person with a mind of your own, you could've just asked about the state of your application, I would've gladly answered you.
  19. You said it yourself. It's a video game. It's sort of a simulator for life. Yes, different decisions can change your life entirely, I agree. However: It's a 10+ years old video game, that is not designed to be tweaked with. As a result of that, there simply are certain limitations we can not bend. The map size which you brought up, technically could be tweaked, however how the client side of the game is going to react to that is different for all kinds of hardware combinations etc, hence wouldn't result with positive experiences.
  20. I agree. It is tough dealing with a player base of 100-150 with only 4 members, considering a huge part of said player base are interested in vehicles. Yes, the team does need more people, unfortunately your application has been denied. It's currently holiday/exams season, sorry! 30 years is a major exaggeration, it could have something to do with your timezone and overall time of choice to play this game. Uhh, elaboration, proof? I disagree, please state why do you think so. A videogame in which we pretend real life. Comparing the two "stages" of the VT during my membership and comparing the one before my time; The team previously was quite loose, people got super high performance vehicles with little to no effort in addition to the parts being completely random. The team then got stricter and more picky on parts and overall RP quality. Now the team's again, less strict, in my opinion. Not really trying to fix it if all you do write aggressive topics and bash anyone who dares to disagree. What many of you seem to disagree with me on is that modifying a vehicle is also part of roleplaying. It is a roleplay that rewards you with property that gives you advantages in other means of roleplaying. I personally pay a tad less attention to modifications where I see that the person is actually putting effort into the roleplay part of the game, rather than just doing everything as sloppy and quick to get to the sweet reward in any way possible. Do you want your vehicle modified for the reason of going fast whenever possible e.g 160mph through the city (which doesn't really seem very realistic), to show it off, to avoid(or create) certain scenarios that actually create quality roleplay, is mainly up to you, however we as an auxiliary staff team must consider all those possibilities and intentions and hence must be more picky on certain things.
  21. Been discussed and suggested before, people shouldn't profit off NPCs that drastically People not being interested in older/slower cars shouldnt come as a surprise and if you've requested such vehicle it really is a problem of your own. I sorta suffer from it myself but im not complaining
  22. ** The following poster would be spread throughout Los Santos. ** 🤔
