  1. Name: openyoureyes666 Comment: its the illuminati they do this all the time they use 5g and you dont know anyting wake up before its to late
  2. I still don’t believe a single person joined Owlgaming because of Tokens, it’s not like it’s written on the server name before you join. It took both me and my friend days before we knew about tokens and when we found out about it we both were a bit disappointed. We both joined because we knew what Owlgaming was back in the days, it was a hardcore RP server and that’s why I believe people are joining. I’m getting the impression that some people are trying to run Owlgaming too much as a business with the “offering players stuff” so they’ll get them to join, I believe this is a wrong approach. And I don’t mean business as getting IRL money, I mean on how to get people to come in/join. At the end of the day I guess I still have to respect that Owlgaming wants to try out something new
  3. Quote: “it's a matter of a player considering all of the options they have when choosing a new server to play on. If they want to role play something, where will they get off the ground quickest“ I see your point but at the same time I don’t know anyone who has felt the need to “get off the ground quickest” when choosing a Roleplay server, never heard of it, never felt it. I like to believe players choose quality and something about giving free stuff doesn’t feel like quality in my brain it feels rather desperate and cheap. I don’t understand it I mean maybe my dumb brain is having a difficult time processing this.
  4. Quoting you: “which would put our proposition to new players at a disadvantage to competing servers” I don’t think that is how it works, the stuff you get for free in our server has only value in our server which is 0 because it’s free, if you can’t use the vehicles or money you get for free here in another server then it has no value anywhere else, so there is no competition to begin with. Why offer large amounts of cash or give stuff out for free? I dont understand that part. Those things are there to be earned. You’re also offering new characters tokens, not only new players. People talk about “new players” like they are some kind of aliens with no voice, we were/are the new players and so far I haven’t met anyone who appreciated tokens
  5. I’m pretty sure the dev team has their eyes on everything great we use to have in MTA, would be great if they put out a list over things that they’re going to implement that existed in MTA so we don’t have to keep writing script suggestions that already existed in the old server
  6. I agree, unless your character is Elon Musk which is 1 in a 100000000000. There should be a limit for sure, and I've seen people with multiple characters in the same faction which is just amazing. However the server is pretty new and you can get away with a lot of stuff right now, but as we are reaching a higher playerbase I'm positive that the admin team will eventually fix this with many other things.
  7. Okay cool I did not know that There are multiple ways of getting around, rent bikes, vehicles etc or how about using the cab for once Quoting you now. ”get straight to business” Well that is what I should feel like doing to be able to afford a property/vehicle, not the other way around.. ”settle down” Well that’s something you should get after hours or days of playing and grinding, not the other way around... By giving people free stuff you remove the things that they are able to achieve, without things to achieve there is no will to play So now the players lost 2 things they were willing to play for
  8. 3. You can login every now and then before 14-30 days has passed on each character 5. Why head starts to begin with, who is ahead of me? Isn’t the server pretty new in GTA V? Is this a race? I dont get it... Okay give the new player a head start but a head start everytime you make a new character? Yes you can get a pretty good middle class house with a garage for 50k which is pretty crazy What kind of crowd is Owlgaming trying to aim for? Serious Roleplayers? Kids who want free stuff and a ”head start”? I think its a beautiful thing that you have to start your character by walking and try to grind the money for a car, it gives the players more things to grind for and try to achieve
  9. Wouldn’t it be better if the token rewards were for each account instead of each character? 1. I’m pretty sure people exploits this and make different characters to transfer either the items or the money they make from them 2. This will make auto dealerships more attractive to run as people would actually need vehicles on their other characters instead of getting them for free on each character 3. More properties available for characters who are actually active 4. Less work for the staff team chasing down people who exploits this feature 5. Getting free stuff makes the server feel cheap and easy By giving people free stuff you remove the things that they are able to achieve, without things to achieve there is no will to play So now the players lost 2 things they were willing to play for
  10. Why not slowly start removing public stores and let the players run them instead Right now there is no attraction in owning a general store as you are competing with atleast 5 others that are marked in the map and are publicly owned I think the server will feel more alive as you would see more advertisement for stores, its a beautiful thing for new players as they arrive in the server and has to figure out by themselves through talking to people or looking at the ads to find a store More options for players to buy and operate, always a good thing Edit: Wrong thread?
  11. I totally agree with everything, However I’m not shitting on scripted jobs, I’m complaining about the wages, if you choose to earn money in doing scripted jobs that’s okay but the wages are unrealistic compared to the rest of the game At the end of the day this a Roleplaying server, we should encourage people to Roleplay and learn how to Roleplay This is why Valhallagaming>Unitedgaming and eventually Owlgaming was the best Roleplaying server that ever existed
  12. Yeah I agree, the problem is that im currently writing this from my phone and its a pain the ass Why I think its overpowered well, currently the prices in game are pretty realistic for cars, food, items in general which is cool but then you have scripted jobs like mailman etc that can give you 15-20k an hour (month IG) it feels very unbalanced, the items in game doesn’t feel like they have any value to them When you see someone driving a sportscar the first thing you should think is ”Wow cool I bet this dude runs a successful business, I want to be a part of that” No, thats not the case he’s a bus driver...
  13. 1. Less money on scripted jobs, I think it is overpowered, or maybe something like you have to stop for a couple of seconds on the yellow circle when delivering mail or bus stops rather then driving through them all like a maniac This is an alternative example if you want the payment to be the same Why I think its overpowered well, currently the prices in game are pretty realistic for cars, food, items in general which is cool but then you have scripted jobs like mailman etc that can give you 15-20k an hour (month IG) it feels very unbalanced, the items in game doesn’t feel like they have any value to them When you see someone driving a sportscar the first thing you should think is ”Wow cool I bet this dude runs a successful business, I want to be a part of that” No, thats not the case he’s a bus driver... 2. More money for Passive Roleplay / Roleplaying Rewarding people for Roleplaying should be one of the main objective for all Roleplaying servers, we all are here because we love Roleplaying
