This is also our motto and we will never let this project down. As I've mentioned on the main post, this project was founded not for short-term goals but long-term goals. Developing a company is not that easy as it looks, we are completely aware of that. Even though it is holiday season, we will not wait for the next year and start our project tomorrow (29.12.2018). However, only business we have right now is C&G Motors and we think it is completely enough for the first day. So I can call this a grand opening. Benefits Description The Los Santos Police Department is seeking a full-time Public Information and Education Coordinator. This position will report to the Chief of Police directly and is responsible for engaging with residents through social media and creating and managing digital and print information through various media platforms, email communications, and website management. This position prepares press releases, coordinates media relations and may act as spokesperson for the organization. The duties of this position shall be divided between public education and public information. The position places the incumbent as the head of the Public Relations division. Meaning the position also requires recruitment of additional staff to the division. Details regarding this will be worked out alongside the office of the Chief of Police. Essential Required Tasks/Examples of Duties The incumbent performs professional and administrative work in the Police Department. His/her primary responsibilities include performing a variety of routine and non-routine difficulty related to the County's community education programs and providing information and assistance to City and County staff and the public. The work involves interaction with other departments, local, state and federal agencies, fire and special districts, law enforcement agencies, citizens, and businesses on safety education issues. The incumbent exemplifies the characteristics of a collaborative, innovative, and resilient work culture and, along with the leadership team, models the appropriate behavior to create and maintain a resilient work culture within the department. The incumbent provides holistic services to the public by seeking ways to integrate programs or services provided by other departments, divisions, and agencies. The incumbent works in partnership with other employees, departments/divisions, agencies, and the public in delivering effective and innovative services. General Duties Staffing and maintenance of the division and it's staff, selection of candidates alongside the Chief of Police. The incumbent is responsible for assisting in assessing needs, planning, developing, and implementing community education programs and crime risk management. Acts as a facilitator by conducting and participating in safety education and crime prevention programs to educate citizens. Trains sworn personnel in the techniques involved in presenting safety education and crime prevention programs. Prepares a variety of reports and special projects as requested by the Chief of Police. Includes Press Releases as requested by the Chief of Police. Reviews proposed ordinances/regulations, plans, and technical reports related to divisional activities for content, accuracy, and feasibility. Assists in the execution of a broad range of communication strategies, engagement strategies, outreach programs. Coordinates and attends (if requested) meetings representing the police department. Creates, implements, and monitors content on assigned social media platforms. Manages police department social media accounts, engages residents on various community issues including responding to questions, concerns, and requests for information. Assists departmental staff in preparing and coordinating reports as required. Maintains liaison with other departments. Minimum Qualifications Training - Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public affairs, journalism, communications, business, or public administration. Formal or informal training or certificates in the following areas are preferred; Crime Risk Management, and Incident Command; public information, communications, media relations Experience – At least two years of professional experience in marketing, public relations and/or communications. Experience preparing and presenting public safety training in either public or private sector preferred. Experience with identifying assorted risks and educating others in how to reduce risks through modification in behavior. Experience in organizing and facilitating meetings. OR Experience that indicates the individual possesses the Necessary Applicant Traits and has the ability to perform the Essential Required Tasks. NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: - Must be at least 21 years of age. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and safe driving record for continued employment. New hires must, as a condition of employment, pass the following pre-offer and post-offer/hire processes: oral board, reference checks, background checks including local police check and sex-offender registry and fingerprint checks through CBI/FBI. Working Conditions The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of the job. The noise level in the environment is moderate. Work is generally scheduled Monday through Friday with some night and weekend hours. On call is generally required on weeknights and rotating weekends.
